How to Edit MX, CNAME, and A Records for Your Domain Print

  • 0

Managing your DNS records is an important step in controlling how your domain works. Whether you want to set up email, connect your website, or point services to the right server, you can update records directly from your control panel.

Editing MX Records

To change the MX (Mail Exchange) records for your domain, log in to your cPanel account and open the MX Entry tool. This is where you can add, remove, or modify the servers responsible for handling your domain’s email.

Editing CNAME and A Records

If you need to update other DNS records, such as CNAME or A records, you can do this from your cPanel as well. Use the Simple DNS Zone Editor if you only need to make quick changes, or switch to the Advanced DNS Zone Editor for full control over all of your DNS settings. Both options are available inside cPanel.

Using Managed DNS Services

If your domain is set up with our managed DNS service, you can edit your records through the DNS Management Tool in your control panel at my.h4y.us. This makes it easier to keep all of your settings organized in one place.
